Pitted Sour Cherries
End Result
Recipe:
- 90 gr. of melted unsalted butter
- 2 1/2 cups of self raising flour, sifted
- 1/2 cup ground almonds
- 3/4 cup castor sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup of fresh pitted sour cherries
Method:
- Place muffins paper in the tins and heat oven to 200 degrees Celsius
- Combine butter, flour, almonds, sugar, egg and milk in a large bowl and stir until all ingredients are incorporated.
- Half fill each hole in muffin tin and place two sour cherries or half cherry
- Top with remaining muffin mixture and place another sour cherry of cherry
- Bake for 25-30 min. Once baked remove and let cool.
P.S. Dark chocolate is another ingredient that will work really well!
