One of the simplest methods of cooking rice is preparing it kateh style. Its sticker than normal rice that has been drained but no thunder has been stolen from this no-fuss recipe as the flavor is much more dense. One of my favorite kateh's is with dill, it works perfectly with grilled fish especially salmon, bbq chicken, on its own, with everything really. The crust at the bottom is what everyone fights over at the table......she's fresh fresh, exciting.....she's so exciting to me.
Recipe:
2 cups rice
4 cups water
3 bunches of fresh dill
2 tablespoons powder almond
Quarter stick of butter
2 tablespoons of sunflower oil
Salt to taste
Method:
Wash rice and place in a non stick pot adding water, butter, oil, powdered almond and salt. Put on medium heat until water starts to boil, add the dill and gently stir and put on low heat for 45-50 min. Flip on serving plate.
